  We had applied for a credit card for me and my son recently . We were told that it would be ready in a week's time. We tried checking with them the day before my son had to return to Canada where he is studying( This was a week later). Unfortunately there was no response to the multiple calls made to the customer relationship officer. So my husband had to rush all the way to the bank from his work and he was informed that it would be ready by 5 in the evening. Since there was no information from the Bank till 5 pm he again made frantic calls and sent multiple messages to the officer and yet again there was no response. I think that this is very unprofessional and high handed. We certainly expect better from a global bank which boasts of high service standards.

  DO everything in life, accept opening an account with HSBC Oman. There customer is out of the word service. they only focus on customers, without providing any service.

  Very slow. People are not competent. Long waiting for a simple question. Azaiba branch needs an overhaul. Came at 8am, still closed. Waited 30mins outside bank. No one showed up. Still closed although working hrs start at 8am.

  I intend to open an account in the bank tomorrow. But after this very negative comments. Concern is the master of the situation. No more stupid banking system :(

  Stranded in Oman after losing secure log-in and bank cards blocked by UK. HSBC in Muscat took me in a patiently worked all my problems out for me.
