  Traditionally Omani, Dukanah is a local restaurant transporting to the era of our ancestors. Build around a traditional local setup decorated with wood and clay walls; you feel the vibes of an old Omani house with its wooden tables relaxing sofas, stone benches, and jute curtains. Food is served in traditional pots on special felt trays used up in the village.

  Great place to look into traditional Omani snacks and beverages. You can try Omani desserts and pair it with the rich Omani coffee or Karak tea. Decorations are amazing; they represent an old Omani house. Location is not great neither is the view. Compared to the location the prices are on the high side. Other than that I think it’s a must see for tourists who want to learn about the Omani way of life.

  I had a wonderful afternoon as I spent it right in this cafe. The place is impressive. They are very keen to detail to put the place as traditional Omani as can be. Kudos! Every facility in the shop have my applause. The things that I like most are the table set that looks like a bicycle, the table that looks like a cart, the sink, the native menu book with good photography & the decor as a whole. The place is proud of its heritage & it is a terrific site for a photo shoot. The ambiance will make you enjoy your meal more. I had a hearty meal of mixed mashakeek & local coffee, delicious & tasty. The service is excellent & very friendly. Dukanah Cafe is bound for big success if they keep it up.
