  I've had experience with both ABA and TAISM. I prefer ABA without question. TAISM is too expensive for what it actually is.

  This school was absolutely AMAZING! The teachers were extremely kind and it seems like they actually like their lives. They are great at teaching too. I also love that they have sports, choir, drama, etc. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend you send your child there.

  The Embassy of the United States of America, the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate of Oman, the Office of Overseas Schools of the United States Department of State, and a group of parents and business leaders worked together in 1998 to establish The American International School of Muscat (TAISM). Since its beginnings it has grown continuously to an enrollment of 720 students representing 61 nationalities. Students from the United States represent 30% of the student body. In the Sultanate of Oman, TAISM is the only international school based upon American curriculum and methodologies, and is the only school sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America. As an “International Community School” authorized by the Oman Ministry of Education, the school has been established to serve expatriate children residing in Oman
