  Shuwa is Arabic means grilled. Omanis used to dig a hole a meter or two deep, light it up with a huge fire and put the meat in it for a day or two. The taste of the Shuwa is normally unique. Shuwa Express tries to mimic the traditional Shuwa in the kitchen. It serves meat and chicken shuwa with rice and in burgers. It also has other dishes but the burger and the rice are my favorite. This is the second branch I know of. The first one is in Bareeq Al Shatti mall. The prices are a bit on the high side (hence the four starts), otherwise the taste is great. I have noticed the last time I was here that there was only one person attending to customers and cooking!
